Zhejiang Jianxin Plastics Co., Ltd.’s volunteer fire brigade achieved an impressive third-place finish at the company’s volunteer fire‑brigade skills competition!
To strengthen workplace safety oversight and further advance the establishment of a system for identifying and addressing potential accident hazards, the Xincheng Subdistrict Federation of Trade Unions hosted a skills competition for enterprise volunteer fire brigades at the Xianqiao Fire Station on the afternoon of June 24. Volunteer fire teams from enterprises across Xincheng Subdistrict participated enthusiastically.
This competition invited occupational safety experts to provide technical guidance. Drawing on the actual conditions of the enterprise’s production workshops, the experts pre‑identified potential safety hazards related to electrical safety, fire safety, and the intermediate storage area for hazardous chemicals. Firefighters were tasked with promptly addressing each identified hazard within a set time limit, carefully inspecting all areas and processes for risks, and documenting any issues with photographs taken using their mobile phones. Following the inspection, they organized the photos and completed forms detailing the hazards and proposed corrective measures. At the conclusion of the competition, the experts assigned scores and provided on‑site feedback to the participating safety officers.
After a fiercely contested competition, our company secured an impressive third-place finish at the skills competition, thanks to its high‑level expertise, professional competence, rigorous work ethic, and unwavering dedication.
This competition is designed to promote learning and training through participation, with a particular focus on assessing the ability of volunteer firefighters to identify and address potential hazards. By fostering a spirit of healthy competition among the enterprise volunteer fire brigades in Xincheng Subdistrict, participants have actively demonstrated their individual skills and strengthened team collaboration. This approach helps volunteer firefighters gain a comprehensive understanding of their professional capabilities, pinpoint areas for improvement, and enhance their expertise in workplace safety. By translating what they have learned into tangible results in safety oversight, they are making an even greater contribution to building a safe and secure Ruian.
